August Snow Trips

During August snow trips continued for many of our schools including Mentone Grammar who competed in skiing competitions at Mt Buller. Many schools are now participating in these events, so we expect snow charters to increase year by year ... providing the cold winter conditions continue.
Melbourne Hearts have commenced their pre-season with trips to Albury, Shepparton and Morwell. The players conduct clinics and do promotional work in the country towns. They finish off the trip with a serious soccer match against the locals.
The Ivanhoe Depot has been supplying a charter bus for the past five Friday nights taking a swimming club to competitions at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. It’s great to see some charter work coming from the other side of town.
We recently transported the Victorian Welsh Choir to Corryong and Wodonga. They put in some excellent musical performances and everyone was thrilled with their singing. They were very pleased with John Davidson’s professional service and said he is a credit to our organisation.
A couple of our customers now use us for winery tours around the Yarra Valley. One group runs the trips for schools as fund raisers and the other group has tours for people to meet each other. The trips are highly successful.
We had a large movement of five coaches transporting ladies from the Breast Cancer Network of Australia on a Friday night in the city between their hotels and the conference centre. They had a successful night and passed on their heartfelt thanks for a great job by the charter team. They said ‘Everything worked like a dream – due no doubt to our attention to detail and planning –terrific work’.
