The busy period commenced in the first week of February 2012 with the reopening of the schools. Prior to that our charter drivers had either taken holidays in January or worked a route service from our Doncaster, Oakleigh or Knox depots. The coaches have been having their inspections and are all are ready for the New Year.

Some charters tours that took place over the holiday period included:
- ● Transporting 400 Buddhist passengers to visit some of their temples in Footscray, Diggers Rest, Springvale, Clarinda, Upwey, Yurok, Reservoir and Fawlkner. The photo is of the imposing statue at the Footscray temple on the Maribyrnong River.
- ● GIT Australia International College were looking after South Korean primary school students and organised a tour of Sovereign Hill, the Dandenongs and the City sights.
- ● St Peter Julian Eymand Vacation Care
- ● Group Link Tours and weddings
Group Link provides many tours to places such as: Bellarine Peninsula Railway Queenscliff, Mornington Peninsula incorporating Arthurs Seat lookout and the Cape Schanck lighthouse and Daylesford including Hepburn Springs, Cricket Willow and the Chocolate Mill.
Our favourite soccer team, the Melbourne Hearts are having a lean trot at the moment so we might have to jump on board the Melbourne Rebels bandwagon sooner rather than later. The Rebels are currently gearing up for the new rugby season.
January was very busy with tram and train emergencies and with a couple of planned occupations as well. Accidents, the hot weather and a storm were the main reasons for the extra work.
David Turner has travelled to Mackay to see if he wants to settle there and we wish him good luck.
